YEREVAN, December 4. /ARKA/. Armenia's National Assembly has approved today in the second and final reading a set of amendments to the law on of privatization of state -owned property in  2017-2020, which have removed the Center for Dermatology and Sexually Transmitted Diseases from the list of state-owned property subject to privatization.

An MP from the ruling My Step faction Narek Zeynalyan said the previous decision to include the Center into the list of to-be privatized state-owned property had been prompted by the intention of the government to raise funds for the budget.

He said no other medical center in the country provides services for inpatient treatment of sexually transmitted and dermatological diseases.

Zeynalyan also reminded that under the privatization law, a privatized state-owned property is to continue to provide its original services for three years only. He said the likelihood that if privatized the Center may stop doing so is quite high. -0-
