Through a project implemented by the Center of Expertise for Good Governance in the context of the  Council of Europe Action Plan for Armenia 2023-2026, Armenian local authorities can apply for grants to implement projects that help build resilience and respond to their urgent and mid-term needs in support of refugees, ensuring protection of their human rights and overcoming challenges related to education, shelter and housing, social services, employment and integration.

The deadline for submission of applications is 12 April 2024. More details on the call can be found on the webpage of the Council of Europe Office in Yerevan

The grant application process is open to 43 most affected communities from 6 marzes (regions) of Armenia: Kotayk, Ararat, Armavir, Syunik, Gegharkunik and Lori. Grant awards will be made to successful applications that will contribute to (a) reinforcing access to basic social services for refugees and/or aiming at enhancing the protection of their human rights; and/or (b) involving rapid socio-economic integration and inclusion of the refugees and strengthening social cohesion.

The total amount of the budget under this call for proposals is 100,000 Euros to be allocated in 4 grants of 25,000 Euros each per municipality..-0-
