Eleven laboratory-confirmed cases of measles have been recorded in Armenia, the Ministry of Health reported.

YEREVAN, March 3. /ARKA/. Eleven laboratory-confirmed cases of measles have been recorded in Armenia, the Ministry of Health reported.
"The patients have been hospitalized. Specialists assess their condition as moderate," the ministry said in a statement on its FB page.
It noted that measures are being taken to detect the source of infection and prevent further spread of the virus.
Measles is an acute infectious viral disease with a very high level of contagiousness, characterized by rash, dry cough, fever. The infection is transmitted through the air. The best and most effective means of prevention is vaccination. -0-
