Flights between Armenia and Romania may become more frequent - ambassador

The number of direct flights between Armenia and Romania may rise, Armenian Ambassador to Romania Sergey Minasyan said Tuesday during a round-table discussion over cooperation between Armenia and Romania.
YEREVAN, July 23. /ARKA/. The number of direct flights between Armenia and Romania may rise, Armenian Ambassador to Romania Sergey Minasyan said Tuesday during a round-table discussion over cooperation between Armenia and Romania.
“Direct flights began on April 3, and now three flights a week are being operated,” he said. “I hope that the number of flights may be increased to four or five by the end of this year.”
Minasyan said that Armenia and Romania are very similar, and the implementation of projects which connect the two countries on the cultural ground, but also create bridges between the countries’ societies and scientists begins now.
“Both Armenia and Romania are post-Communist countries, which went through a unique and complicated, but also successful process of transformation. We should acknowledge this experience and exchange it,” the ambassador said.
He stressed that the Armenian community in Romania is among the country’s privileged ethnic and religious minorities. -0----
