Government expands infertility treatment program

YEREVAN, January. 5. /ARKA/. The Armenian government has approved today a Health Ministry-designed decision that expands the list of beneficiaries of the infertility treatment program.
According to Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan, 251 children have been born in the country within the framework of this program, which has been operating since 2020 with government funding.
Currently the beneficiaries are residents of border communities, military servicemen and the families of fallen servicemen.
The decision approved today makes the program accessible to all citizens, including single women. Besides, as Avanesyan noted, an exception is made for the residents of border settlements, who will be able to benefit from the program even if they already have one child. --0-
