Arsen Karoyan, the head of the Yerevan Municipality Department of Public Utilities, has been arrested for two months, the press service of the Armenian Anti-Corruption Committee told ARKA news agency.

YEREVAN, April 8. /ARKA/. Arsen Karoyan, the head of the Yerevan Municipality Department of Public Utilities, has been arrested for two months, the press service of the Armenian Anti-Corruption Committee told ARKA news agency.

The committee noted that the Anti-Corruption Court of Appeal overturned the first-instance court's decision to impose bail and administrative control as preventive measures against Karoyan, and instead authorized his arrest.

Karoyan had previously been detained in connection with a bribery case, but was soon released from custody. No further information is available regarding the case.
