More than 170,000 jobs created since May 2018: Pashinyan
YEREVAN, June 22. /ARKA/. More than 170,000 jobs have been created since May 2018, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at a government meeting on Thursday.
"Fortunately, we have recorded another historic record, and as of late May we had 718,266 registered jobs. The number of registered jobs grew by 170,277. Compared to May last year, there is also an increase, it is important to record that there is a significant increase in the wage fund, which, compared to May 2018, grew by 106% or 103 billion 40 million drams.
"The indicator of the average salary is very important; it has increased by 101,629 drams or 57.6%. It is important that in comparison with April 2023, salaries have risen by 4,215 drams or 1.5%, and in comparison with May 2022 by 40,323 drams or 17%," the PM said, noting that the growth of salaries outpaces the inflation rate.
