YEREVAN, March 10. /ARKA/. Gevork Kostanyan, prosecutor general of Armenia, commenting on the two crimes committed in the country this month, said it is still early to speak about escalation of criminal situation here.

On March 4, three people, including one person very well known in criminal society, were shot by unidentified masked men near the Yerevan prison, and six others were wounded in shooting on March 8 in Gyumri.

They are now in a hospital in a serious condition.

The prosecutor general said that after causes of such phenomena become clear it will be possible to work out steps for eliminating them. --0-----
