Syrian Armenians allowed to use their driving licenses in Armenia

Armenia will consider the Syrian Armenians’ driving licenses valid within a year, Novosti-Armenia reports Thursday referring to the Cabinet’s decision.
YEREVAN, August 23. /ARKA/. Armenia will consider the Syrian Armenians’ driving licenses valid within a year, Novosti-Armenia reports Thursday referring to the Cabinet’s decision.
“We reached such decision taking into fact the number of the Syrian Armenians ( 1700) currently living in Armenia. Some of them have driving licenses, however the category of these licenses doesn’t meet that of Armenia’s,” Diaspora Minister Hranush Hakobyan said at the Cabinet meeting.
The Syrian Armenians will be able to use their driving licenses within a year and change their documents after that, she added.
“We try to facilitate all the regimes for the Syrian Armenians making it easier for them to overcome the difficulties,” Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said.—0--
