Temperatures expected to drop across Armenia: short rains possible in some areas
YEREVAN, August 25. /ARKA/ Armenia’s Hydrometeorological and Monitoring Center warned that high fire danger is expected on August 25-28 in the capital city Yerevan, in Ararat Valley, Aragatsotn, Kotayk and Vayots Dzor foothills, as well as in Syunik and Tavush valleys.
It also said that intermittent rains with thunderstorms are expected in some parts of the country on August 28 afternoon, on August 25, August 26 and 29 overnights. Hail is possible in some places. No precipitation is expected on August 26 afternoon and August 27.
The wind is northwest with gusts up to 3-5 m/s. During thunderstorms wind gusts may accelerate up to 18-22 m/s. The temperatures will gradually drop by 4-6 degrees Celsius on August 25-26.
Brief showers are possible in Yerevan on August 28 evening and on August 25 afternoon. Rain will also fall on August 29. On Friday afternoon the temperature in the capital will be 30-32 degrees Celsius. On Monday it will rise to 32-34 degrees, and will fall to 28-30 degrees on Tuesday. -0-
