YEREVAN, July 19. /ARKA/. Taron Margaryan, former mayor of Yerevan, will be summoned for questioning soon, Arthur Vanetsyan, the head of the Armenian National Security Service, told journalists on Thursday commenting on abuses in Yerevan Fund.
Earlier, officers of the National Security Service searched the fund's offices in suspicion of abuses and fraud.
Vanetsyan said that evidentiary basis of this case is bulky and time is needed for substantial investigation.
Asked about Taron Margaryan's illegal enrichment, Vanetsyan said the National Security Service has found no companies registered to the former mayor so far.
«Aren Mkrtrchyan, advisor to Prime Minisrter Nikol Pashinyan in struggle against corruption, has given us media reports and reports posted in social networks about Taron Margaryan's property, and investigation is under way now,» he said.
Along with that, Vanetsyan didn't rule out that Margaryan has already left the country or is going to do that. -0----
