Vice mayor of Yerevan resigns to take up as chief producer of Public Television

Vice Mayor of Yerevan Tigran Virabyan filed a letter of resignation.
YEREVAN, December 9. /ARKA/. Vice Mayor of Yerevan Tigran Virabyan filed a letter of resignation.
“I received an offer from the management of Public Television to take the position of chief producer. I think this is a good opportunity for me to participate in the process of important qualitative changes and the implementation of new creative ideas in Channel One. Therefore, I tendered a resignation letter to the Mayor of Yerevan, Hayk Marutyan with a request to release me from the post of vice-mayor of Yerevan,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
According to Virabyan, over the past two years, positive changes have taken place in such areas as culture, general education and sports, which he supervised as vice mayor.
