YEREVAN, August 23. /ARKA/. Armenian athletes have secured nine medals at the 2024 World Para-Armwrestling Championships in Chișinău, according to the National Federation of Disabled Sports of Armenia.

Gold medals in the left-hand competition were claimed by Valter Arutyunyan, Sargis Khachatryan, Gevorg Ambartsumyan, Anahit Babajanyan, and Naira Mesropyan.

Silver medals were awarded to Gurgen Antonyan, Sargis Arutyunyan, and Shagen Babayan, while Armen Enokyan earned a bronze medal.

The World Para-Armwrestling Championships, taking place from August 15 to 25, feature over 300 athletes from 61 countries.
