Ameriabank partners Gyumri Tech Week and acts as main sponsor of Cyber Security Hackathon (video)
YEREVAN, July 7. /ARKA/. On July 2-4, Armenia’s second-largest city of Gyumri hosted one of the largest technology events of the year - Tech Week 2022.
Ameriabank, the largest financial and technological institution of Armenia, which has been constantly investing in the latest technologies, developing ecosystems, joined the three-day techno-fest as a partner and main sponsor of the cyber security Hackathon, the bank's press office said.
"We are very happy that the Tech Week that has become a kind of symbol of technological development is taking place in Gyumri, It couldn't help but get us excited and motivated to participate in this technology festivity," said Ameriabank's Head of Personal Financial Services and Card Department Elen Danielyan.
Ameriabank's Head of Digital Marketing Zhorzhik Grigoryan spoke during the three- day Gyumri Tech Week (GTW) event, revealing the human-centered way of solving problems. He noted that Ameriabank, as a human-centered environment pursuing for digital transformation and investing in digital ecosystems, does not forget that people are at the core of any technology or innovation.
Vahan Melkumyan, Ameriabank's Head of Development and Training, also gave a speech on "Technology, the present and the labor market: gaps and opportunities. IT is not only about programmers," sharing the global trends in the labor market and Ameria's approaches.
"In today's digital world, new security challenges arise on new platforms. Paying special attention to customer data security, we monitor daily and, by investing in ecosystems, anticipate, assess and prevent all risks," said Gnel Asatryan, Head of Ameriabank's Information Security Department, referring to the cybersecurity hackathon.
Ameriabank also took part in the job fair held at the Gyumri Drama Theater. During two days the visitors of the Tech Week had an opportunity to ask the Americans any questions they might have about the job vacancies or simply to taste delicious apples and sweets and try their hand at chess.
