Armenia and Spain aim to deepen economic partnership and expand investment

YEREVAN, May 20. /ARKA/. The issues of diversifying the Armenian economy and attracting foreign investment were discussed yesterday by Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan and Spanish Ambassador to Armenia Ricardo Martinez Vazquez.
During the meeting, the most promising areas of cooperation were identified - agriculture, tourism, intensive technologies and others, the press service of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic reports.
"Spain is one of our most valuable partners in Europe, and we strive to do everything possible to further strengthen these relations, based on mutual trust and common interests," Papoyan noted.
During the meeting, the possibility of organizing business meetings in the B2B format to expand bilateral trade and economic ties, as well as visits of journalists and bloggers to increase Armenia's visibility was also discussed
Papoyan presented the "Crossroads of Peace" project, which can become an important factor in both regional and broader economic cooperation.
Deputy Minister Arman Khojoyan and Head of the Tourism Committee Lusine Gevorgyan were also present at the meeting.
