The launch of a direct flight between Armenia and Marseille, as well as cooperation in the tourism sector, were discussed at a meeting between the head of the Tourism Committee of the RA Ministry of Economy Lusine Gevorgyan and representatives of the Marseille City Hall.
YEREVAN, May 15. /ARKA/. The launch of a direct flight between Armenia and Marseille, as well as cooperation in the tourism sector, were discussed at a meeting between the head of the Tourism Committee of the RA Ministry of Economy Lusine Gevorgyan and representatives of the Marseille City Hall.
As reported by the press service of the Committee, the French side presented the tourist attractions of Marseille, and the Armenian side presented Armenia's opportunities in the field of historical, cultural and gastronomic tourism, which aroused greater interest.
It is noted that a large exhibition is planned in Marseille in September, participation in which is important for the Tourism Committee - as the official representative of Armenia, to further strengthen the recognition of the republic.
On May 5, 2025, Yerevan and Marseille became sister cities.
