Pashinyan: Armenian citizens and goods to use alternative road to travel from Goris to Kapan

Armenian citizens and goods going from the town of Goris to Kapan, the capital of the southern Armenian province of Syunik, will use an alternative road which bypasses a section of the highway that connects north of Armenia with its south as well as with Iran and which is now controlled by Azerbaijan, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told a Cabinet meeting today.

Deputy prime minister: government is working hard to find solution to problems on Kapan-Goris road

The Armenian government is working hard to resolve the problems that have emerged after Azerbaijan set up a checkpoint on a section of Goris-Kapan highway which came under its control after the 44-day war in Nagorno-Karabakh last autumn, Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan said at a press briefing on Friday.
