Modernization of Armenian nuclear power plant to boost its performance and bring its capacity to 440 MW, Rusatom Service JSC CEO says

The completion of a program of measures, designed to modernize the Armenian nuclear power plant, scheduled for the end of this year, will boost the facility’s performance and bring its capacity to the nominal 440 MW, said Yevgeny Salkov, CEO of Rusatom Service JSC (a subsidiary of Russian Rosatom State Corporation, which is the general contractor of the program to extend the service life of the plant) in an exclusive interview with Novosti-Armenia news agency.

Rusatom Service, a unit of Russia's Rosatom that services nuclear power plants abroad, said today it has completed the modernization of the equipment of one of the two turbine units at Armenia’s nuclear power plant in Metzamor as part of a project designed to extend the service life of the facility.
