YEREVAN, February 25. /ARKA/. The Board of the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) re-issued the license for securities market regulatory operator to NASDAQ OMX Armenia due to the renaming of the company (Armenian Stock Exchange open joint stock company was renamed as NASDAQ OMX Armenia open joint stock company).
This decision was adopted at Tuesday meeting of the CBA Board presided over by CBA Chairman Artur Javadyan, the CBA Press Service reported.
On January 27 2009 Armenian Stock Exchange open joint stock company was officially renamed as NASDAQ OMX Armenia open joint stock company.
It was founded a self-regulating organization registered in Armenia on February 13 2001 embracing 21 dealer organizations. On November 9 Armex was reorganized to an open joint stock company. OMX has been the 100% owner of Armex and the Central Depository since January 7 2008.
By February 23, twenty-three securities underwent listing on NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange with the capitalization reaching 53.3bln Drams. ($1=305.69Drams). –0--
