Areximbank-Gazprombank Group said it plans to introduce this year several new products for plastic card holders.

YEREVAN, February 2, /ARKA/. Areximbank-Gazprombank Group said it plans to introduce this year several new products for plastic card holders. Namely, it will issue ArCa plastic cards, and its plastic card holders will be able to pay utilities by mobile phones from their plastic card accounts.

Also Areximbank’s and Russian Gazprombank’s plastic cards holders will be able to make round the clock money transfers between Russia and Armenia.

The bank has already introduced Telecard System, a utilities payment system via ATM and a card-to-card money transfers system.

The bank said also the number of payment cards issued last year increased by 30.6% to 75,315. The volume of transactions made by plastic cards grew by 46% to 27.8 billion Drams. The bank operates now 44 ATMs and 128 POS-terminals.

Areximbank-Gazprombank Group (formerly Areximbank) was established in 1998 to handle financial flows between Armenia and Russia. It is a principled member of VISA International and MasterCard International payment systems. In 2007 it joined Armenian ArCa payment system. The bank is owned fully by Russian Gazprombank.-0-
