Fourth branch of ‘’Conversebank’’ opened in Ijevan

A new branch of Armenian ‘’Conversebank’’ has been opened in Ijevan. It is the fourth branch of the bank in the country, but the first one opened in a remote area under the program ‘’Six Branches by the End of the Year’’.
YEREVAN, December 12. /ARKA/. A new branch of Armenian ‘’Conversebank’’ has been opened in Ijevan. It is the fourth branch of the bank in the country, but the first one opened in a remote area under the program ‘’Six Branches by the End of the Year’’, the marketing department of the bank told ARKA agency. The process will continue in 2008 giving an opportunity to take advantage of the banking services to the distant regions with high rural potential.
‘’Ijevan’’ branch will provide universal services and will continue to the development of the region particularly in terms of rural crediting and leasing.
According to the press release, the new branch will provide full package of banking services in line with the quality management standards ISO 9001:2000. The newly opened branch of ‘’Conversebank’’ holds a monthly action: during the month all physical entities opening an account in the bank are entitled to a free VISA ELECTRON plastic card with some 3,000 Drams of balance at the account. During the period, legal entities will have an opportunity to open an account without irreducible balance.
‘’Conversebank’’ Closed Joint Stock Company was registered on December 10 1993. Since February 2007 it has been owned by an Argentinean businessman of Armenian origin Eduardo Ernekian.
As of the end of September, the bank’s assets were 45.4bln Drams, total capital was 10.7bln Drams, net profit for January-September was 1.1bln Drams and the balance profit on capital was 6.7bln Drams as of the end of September 2006. The authorised stock of the bank was 1.3bln Drams by September 30. Currently the bank has 17 branches. ($1=303.50Drams). –0--
