Armenia’s national airline Air Armenia said it has temporarily suspended flights to Frankfurt in Germany.

YEREVAN, October 8. / ARKA /. Armenia’s national airline Air Armenia said it has temporarily suspended flights to Frankfurt in Germany.
The airline explained it by the need to return its pair of A320-200s to their respective lessors for planned routine maintenance. The airline said it continues operating all other regular flights to Russia and Europe in accordance with the schedule.
Air Armenian is the only company at the local market of air transportation. Armenia’s previous national carrier Armavia went bankrupt in April 2013.
The Armenian government responded to it by liberalizing the domestic civil aviation sector. Air Armenia currently flies to 9 destinations in Russia and Europe. -0-
