Acba Bank promotes energy efficiency in Armenia
YEREVAN, July 31. /ARКА/. Acba Bank presented flexible financing options for energy-efficient and energy-saving products to businesses and individuals within the framework of the energy efficiency exhibition organized by the Association for International Cooperation of German Savings Banks in Ijevan, as reported by the bank's press service.
As part of the energy efficiency exhibition, Armenian-made water heaters, electric boilers, heated floors and other energy-efficient and "green solar" products were presented.
"We are happy that Acba Bank has joined this event. Armenia has so much sun that it can make serious progress in the field of "green" energy production in the coming years. Acba Bank supports residents on this path by offering interesting financial solutions so that people can take advantage of "green" technologies," said Eric Boettcher, head of the Armenian representative office of the Association for International Cooperation of German Savings Banks.
This year, Acba Bank was recognized as the best in Armenia in terms of ESG (environmental, social and governance) standards by the financial magazine Euromoney, taking into account the steady growth of the bank's loan portfolio and its growing share in the ESG system.
Taking into account the best international practices, Acba has developed and will soon implement its own procedures for issuing "green" loans, through which the criteria for "green" loans and mechanisms for calculating CO2 emissions will be determined.
The bank is controlled by the Central Bank of Armenia.
