AMD 1.6 billion Returned to Armenian State Budget Amid Tax Evasion Investigation

YEREVAN, May 5. /ARKA/. The Investigative Committee is currently investigating a case of significant tax evasion involving two natural gas station owners and several associates.
Public charges have been filed against 14 individuals under the Armenian Criminal Code for failing to pay taxes, duties, and other financial obligations in substantial amounts. Additionally, 5 individuals face charges for aiding in this tax evasion.
As part of the ongoing investigation, preventive measures have been implemented, including an absence ban for 6 individuals and both an absence ban and bail for another 3. Arrests have been announced for 10 individuals, who have since been declared wanted.
So far, the inquiry has successfully recovered a total of 1.6 billion drams for the state budget. The investigation is still underway.-0-
