YEREVAN, March 28. /ARKA/. The Yerevan-based Ameriabank and a local company called Drops have launched a new payment instrument enabling customers to pay their upcoming large payments in advance and gradually.
The founder of Drops Vahagn Tsaturyan said large annual payments are often a heavy burden on the family budget, especially utility payments in winter and tuition fees. Speaking to reporters he said a new Drops application allows customers to use their payment cards to pay the debts by small amounts during the year, thus avoiding one-time large payments without having to visit a bank or another financial structure.
According to him, the application can be used to pay utility bills, insurance and loan payments, tuition fees, communication and travel costs, and soon also property taxes, fines for violation of traffic rules and so on.
He said by registering with the system, the user can choose the necessary service, and also present the amount of payment and the period for which he/she is going to pay, after which the app will independently schedule the payments - daily, weekly, monthly, depending on the user's desire, and will automatically write off the necessary amounts from his/her card account.
Ameriabank’s Retail Operations Director Arman Barseghyan noted that the system allows customers to manage their personal financial flows. It also reduces the financial burden and allows not to attract additional loans to pay for certain expenses.
"Taking a loan in any case is an additional burden, and in this case the client simply pays the intermediary service in the amount of zero to 1.9%, which is significantly lower than other attracted resources," Barseghyan said.
Ameriabank Technologies and Operations Director Burastan Movsisyan explained that the new app is available to all users of ArCa, Visa and MasterCard cards.
"The application provides for remote management of one’s financial flows with a high level of security," Movsisyan said, stressing that the system has three-level protection backed by VbV (Verified by Visa) and Secure Code technologies.
Ameriabank acts as the payment and settlement partner of the project. The application is available at AppStore and GooglePlay. -- 0--
