Ameriabank CJSC was recognized as the best Armenian bank in 2016 by The Banker, an influential magazine owned by The Financial Times, the bank's press service reported.
YEREVAN, December 9. /ARKA/. Ameriabank CJSC was recognized as the best Armenian bank in 2016 by The Banker, an influential magazine owned by The Financial Times, the bank's press service reported.
Ameriabank was selected to receive this award for the second year in a row. It was also recognized as the best Armenian bank by The Banker in 2010 and 2013. Ameriabank was also recognized as "Best Bank of the Year" in Armenia by the magazines Global Finance and Euromoney.
During the awarding ceremony in London, it was mentioned that the bank was recognized the best Armenian bank in 2016 for its financial results, effective activity and the strategic approach amid economic and competitive factors.
One of the main criteria was the bank’s focus on its clients, its balanced risk management, remote banking services and their quality level, as well as the introduction of a new remote banking service BankWorld (omnichannel banking platform) together with CR2 Company.
The Banker award is considered the highest rating of a bank in the world being awarded for 17 consecutive years. This year the competition was attended by leading banks from 149 countries of the world.
