Apartment prices in Yerevan grew by 15% in March 2020 from the year ago

Some 15,442 real estate transactions were executed in Armenia in March 2020, by 1.5% more than in the same period last year, the Armenian Cadastre Committee reported.

YEREVAN, April 28. /ARKA/. Some 15,442 real estate transactions were executed in Armenia in March 2020, by 1.5% more than in the same period last year, the Armenian Cadastre Committee reported.
It said the largest number of transactions was registered in Yerevan - 32% of the total, and the smallest in Vayots Dzor region - 2.3%. Kotayk region accounted for 13.3% of all transactions, Ararat - for 10%, Armavir - for 7.6%, Gegharkunik - for 7.1%, Lori - for 6.3%, Aragatsotn - for 6.5%, Shirak - for 5.9%, Tavush - for 5%, and Syunik - for 4%.
According to the Cadastre Committee, 37.2% of the transactions were sale and purchase deals, 15.2% were initial registration of real estate. Also, 15.6% of the transactions were inheritance, 15.1% were collateral transactions and 8.6% were rental transactions.
The average market price of one square meter of housing in apartment buildings in Yerevan in March 2020 increased by 14.9% when compared to March 2019. The highest prices was in Kentron administrative district - 670,000 drams and the lowest was in the district of Nubarashen - 191,000 drams.
The average price of one square meter of housing in apartment buildings in the regions increased by 6.5% compared to March 2019. The highest price was in Tsaghkadzor (284, 8000 drams) and the lowest - in Tumanyan (24,000 drams). ($1 - 479.58 drams). -0-
