ARARAT Armenian Brandy Presents Audio guide ARARAT Yerevan

YEREVAN, May 20. /ARKA/. ARARAT Armenian brandy presents its new cultural project dedicated to Yerevan. The ARARAT Yerevan audio guide is a tribute from the legendary Armenian brandy to the capital of the Republic of Armenia, its cultural diversity, and rich historical heritage.
This project symbolizes ARARAT's deep devotion and sincere love for the Armenian capital, reflecting its warm atmosphere and incredible spirit.
About Audio Guide ARARAT Yerevan
Available in Armenian, Russian, and English, the ARARAT Yerevan audio guide is a wonderful opportunity for both city dwellers and visitors of the capital to discover new facets of the old city, hear fascinating stories about its architectural landmarks, and, perhaps most importantly, feel its warmth.
The ARARAT Yerevan audio guide offers an approximately one-hour walk through the center of Yerevan, starting at the Radio House and leading the listener to the Phoenix Bar. Moreover, at the end of the walk, the audio guide will present the listener with a pleasant surprise.
One of the unique features of this audio guide is that, throughout the suggested route, you will be accompanied by journalist and writer Mark Grigoryan — the author of several books about Yerevan. He will not only share fascinating stories but also convey his genuine love for the city.
Available at https://yerevanguide.araratbrandy.com/ and friendly in navigation, the ARARAT Yerevan audio guide will be a wonderful guide for you and your guests.
“Yerevan is a hospitable city that has the endless power to inspire. Our goal was to come up with an initiative that would allow both residents and visitors to experience the unique charm of our city and immerse themselves in its rich history. This audio guide is not just a tour—it’s a true love story dedicated to Yerevan. I sincerely hope that this journey becomes a warm and memorable experience for everyone, filled with the spirit of ARARAT. Although the ARARAT Museum is not part of the audio guide route, launching the project here, at the ARARAT Museum, carries special symbolism. We are proud to present our city to the tens of thousands of visitors to one of Yerevan’s most visited museums — the ARARAT Museum. This project is an opportunity to introduce them to both the historical heritage of the city and its modern vibe,” emphasized Anush Hambardzumyan, Head of Sales and Marketing of the Yerevan Brandy Company.
Yerevan is my city
“It was an interesting challenge for me to walk the streets of Yerevan and talk about each building. I can't say that I told about every building, but I told about most of them. And I am very happy to share my knowledge with everyone - residents of Yerevan and not only. They will see a part of the city through my eyes. I don't want to reveal the brackets, but there is one place where I call to engage imagination and try how this place looked like 50-100 years ago,” Grigoryan said.
According to him, there are places that we see every day, but we don't realize how important and interesting they are.
“I hope I was able to do that during the walk. Knowing three languages, I presented the audio guide in three languages. If I knew 4, I would have done the same in four languages with the help of ARARAT Braandy Company,” said Grigoryan.
Commenting on the importance of the project, he addressed questions to the journalists.
“For example, do you know everything about the Charents monument? And about the ARARAT cognac factory building located at the intersection of Nalbandyan Street and Sayat-Nova Avenue? About the small stele erected by the efforts of Rafael Israelyan and Ara Harutyunyan?” asked Grigoryan.
At the request of the Novosti-Armenia News Agency, he briefly characterized Yerevan My City.
Yerevan - in ARARAT Museum
Head of the Public Relations Department Zaruhi Saribekyan said that the “Echoes of the City in the ARARAT Museum” exhibition opened in the temporary exposition hall of the ARARAT Museum two days ago.
“This is an exhibition about our very favorite city. Together with journalist and writer Mark Grigoryan, author of a number of books about Yerevan, the museum presented an exhibition of copies of historical maps of the capital from the book “Yerevan in Maps of the 17th-21st Centuries,” Saribekyan said.
Yerevan is a paradise on Earth
“My most favorite map is the map created by Dutch traveler Antoine Augustin. According to his map, paradise is located in the place of Yerevan between lakes Van, Urmia and Sevan. This is of great importance for me because we should be worthy of this paradise place,” Grigoryan said.
He noted that the exhibition also features a map of Yerevan from the mid-19th century.
“The “skeleton” of the city is already visible: the English Garden, the City Garden, the current Abovyan and Nalbandyan streets. Maps of Yerevan during the period of the First Republic of Armenia, two general plans of the city created during the activities of architect Alexander Tamanyan are also presented,” Grigoryan said.
He emphasized that Tamanyan saw Yerevan as a garden city with two avenues - Northern and Southern, a student district. The city, according to the architect, was to have two main centers: Freedom and Republic squares.
“Tamanyan 'poeticized' the general plan of Yerevan. Poetry was expressed in the connection between the center of arts (Opera) and service (formerly Lenin Square). I must note that Yerevan is one of the most successful embodiments of the chief architect's vision, if not the most successful,” Grigoryan said.
The exhibition ends with a map of modern Yerevan. -0-
