YEREVAN, June 26. / ARKA /. A Bombardier CRJ 200 plane owned by Armenia’s former national airline Armavia has been put on sale at Grav.am for 700 million drams (about 1.7 million U.S. dollars).

An employee of Grav.am told ARKA by telephone that the sale of the aircraft is being handled by a "foreign dealing company."

"The aircraft is a property pledged at Ameriabank,” the employee said, refusing to identify himself.
Ameriabank also declined comments.

Armavia flights to more than 40 cities in the former Soviet Union, Europe and the Middle East were discontinued immediately after it announced the halt of operation on April 1, 2013 to begin bankruptcy procedure. It ran 8 aircraft: three CRJ, three Boeing 737 500, one Airbus and one YAK 42. -0-
