Armenia airline cancels all flights until May 15

Armenia Airlines has canceled all scheduled flights until May 15 due to the extension of the state of emergency, Gevorg Khachatryan, Deputy CEO of the airline, said.
YEREVAN, May 13. /ARKA/. Armenia Airlines has canceled all scheduled flights until May 15 due to the extension of the state of emergency, Gevorg Khachatryan, Deputy CEO of the airline, said. He said the decision was made in connection with the spread of coronavirus infection COVID-19․
Armenia Airlines said all passengers of canceled flights are provided with a voucher for the amount of the unused ticket, which will be valid until December 31, 2020.
Armenia declared a 30-day state of emergency to curb the spread of coronavirus on March 16. Later, it imposed stringent restrictions on the movement of citizens and banned also some types of economic activity. On April 13, the government decided to extend the state of emergency for another month - until May 14 inclusive and lifted also the ban on some businesses.
As of April 13, 1039 confirmed cases of coronavirus were recorded in Armenia. Some 211 people recovered and 14 patients died. ($1 - 491.18 drams). -- 0--
