Armenia airline to make maiden flight to Tel-Aviv today

The recently-established Armenia airline will make its first flight to Tel-Aviv, Israel, on April 21, the deputy director general of the company, Gevorg Khachatryan, told ARKA.

YEREVAN, 21 April. /ARKA/. The recently-established Armenia airline will make its first flight to Tel-Aviv, Israel, on April 21, the deputy director general of the company, Gevorg Khachatryan, told ARKA.
"As we had previously announced, we will operate two flights a week to Tel-Aviv from Yerevan. Today at 21:10 the Boeing 737 will depart from Yerevan to Israel,’ he said.
Khachatryan said that the interest in this destination is high, because it is a direct flight.
"In this regard, we are in a much better position than other airlines. Furthermore, in terms of ticket cost our offer is also advantageous compared with other airlines,' he said.
According to Khachatryan, they are going also to operate regular flights to Tehran, Dubai, Prague, Kiev, Minsk, Barcelona, London and Larnaca, Cyprus. Then the flights will be flown to the Russian cities of Sochi, Rostov-on-Don, Mineralnye Vody and Samara and later to Germany and Italy.
The founders of the airline are Ashot Torosyan (51%), Tamaz Gaiashvili (25%) and Robert Hovhannisyan (24%). Gaiashvili is the founder of the Georgian airline Airzena. He was chairman of its Board of Directors, while Hovhannisyan was his deputy. -0-
