YEREVAN, January 26. /ARKA/. Citing a shortage of a number of medicines, particularly antibiotics. Armenian Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan said the government allowed imports of a number of Europe-made medicines, which are not registered in Armenia.

"There is a considerable shortage of medicines and components in the world and there is also a problem of logistics chains. We made several decisions in connection with these problems and temporarily, for several months, allowed imports of medicines, which are not registered in our country,’ she told reporters after a government meeting today.

According to her, this does not mean that these drugs are not subject to all the necessary regulations.

"We conduct weekly monitoring, collect and summarize data. If there is a shortage of a certain drug in the market, we take action," the minister said. -0-
