YEREVAN, November 26. /ARKA/. Armenia is planning to enter the Indian market of processed agricultural products, Robert Makaryan, the Armenian deputy agriculture minister, said at a news conference on Wednesday.

In his words, the Armenian agriculture minister will visit India in February 2016. He will present the national wine-making industry’s products there as part of the visit.

“The Indian market has a wide capacity and is considered as one of the directions of diversification of Armenia’s exports,” Makaryan said. “It applies not only to agricultural products, but also to processed agricultural products.”

According to the National Statistical Service of Armenia, agricultural products worth AMD 857.7 billion were produced in the country in Jan-Oct 2015 (an 11.6% year-on-year growth). ---0----
