Armenia International Airports to get $160 million loan from Credit Swiss

The Armenian government on Thursday approved a certification letter between the London branch of Credit Swiss, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and Armenia International Airports company.

YEREVAN, December 17. /ARKA/. The Armenian government on Thursday approved a certification letter between the London branch of Credit Swiss, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and Armenia International Airports company.
The chief of the Civil Aviation Department Artem Movsisyan said the approval means that the government allows Armenia International Airports to sign approximately a $160 million loan agreement with the London branch of Credit Swiss.
Prime minister Hovik Abrahamyan said some $80 million of the loan will be invested in Armenia, and the rest will be used by the company to repay its other loans.
Armenia-International Airports, a company owned by an Argentine citizen of Armenian descent Eduardo Eurnekian runs Zvartnots airport in Yerevan and Shirak airport in Gyumri. In 2001 the company signed a concessional agreement with the government to manage Zvartnots for 30 years. –0—
