YEREVAN, November 7. /ARKA/. Armenia is negotiating the GSP+ regime with China, economic development and investment minister Suren Karayan told reporters today. According to him, China is expected to provide Armenia with the preferential GSP + trade regime unilaterally.
"In case of successful negotiations, some of the goods produced in Armenia, will be exported to China without any restrictions and customs duties," - Karayan said.
He said the list of those goods is still under discussion, stressing that they are the goods whose export is important for the country. According to the minister, the government is eager to shift to an active export policy, including the expansion of trade relations with Asian countries.
Armenia has been enjoying the GSP + regime with EU countries since 2013. Apart from the Eurasian Economic Union, Armenia also has preferential customs regimes as part of several trade agreements with the United States and Canada. -0-
