YEREVAN, March 20. /ARKA/. The Armenian government plans to set state duties on 13 types of civil aviation services.

On Wednesday, the parliament adopted a package of bills aimed at amending the law "On State Duty" and a number of related laws.

The fees for 13 types of services will be calculated on a man-hour basis, based on the actual working time currently spent on the specified service, as well as the resources used, the nature of the service.

These services include runway conformity assessment, certification of air navigation services, passenger and cargo transportation volumes, examinations and qualification of air traffic controllers and crews, and handling of hazardous air cargo.

Currently, the Civil Aviation Committee (CAC) provides these services free of charge to airlines and the companies managing airports in Yerevan, Gyumri and Kapan. As a result it is unable to raise the salaries of specialists.

According to some estimates, when the new state duties come into effect, they are expected to generate about 150 million drams of revenue per year. ($1 - AMD 401.27) -0-.
