YEREVAN, April 14. /ARKA/. Armenia's canneries are ready to purchase 60,000 tons of tomatoes this year, Armenian Deputy Agriculture Minister Robert Makaryan said Tuesday at a news conference.
«This figure came after preliminary negotiations alone,” he said. «In 2014, 23,000 tons were bought.»
Asked by ARKA News Agency about demand for other agricultural products, Makaryan found it difficult to indicate particular figures, but said increase in demand for all the varieties of agricultural products may range between 30% and 50% this year.
«Let Armenian farmers be not anxious to have their products sold,» Makaryan said. «And as for procurement prices, they are regulated by market demand.» --0----
