Armenia's construction sector recorded the highest growth rate in January-April 2023 among several former Soviet republics, which make the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU).

YEREVAN, June 26. /ARKA/. Armenia's construction sector recorded the highest growth rate in January-April 2023 among several former Soviet republics, which make the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU).
The country's construction industry grew by 36.0% in the first 4 months of this year, while Kazakhstan's construction industry grew by 15.4%, that of Kyrgyzstan by 8.7%; Russia's construction market grew by 7.4% and that of Belarus by 3.3%, according to the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) data.
The average growth rate within the EEU was 7.8%.
According to Armenia's National Statistical Service, the country's construction sector grew by 16% up to 94.9bln drams during the 4 months of the year. Construction of housing accounted for 53.7% of the total. Construction of electricity, natural gas, steam and air conditioning facilities accounted for 10.6% and construction of transport facilities accounted for 5.5% of the total. --0
