Armenia's domestic trade turnover in January-July totalled 3.3 trillion drams with growth rate of 21.4 per cent

YEREVAN, 6 September. /ARKA/. Armenia's domestic trade turnover in January-July 2024 grew by 21.4% in comparison with the same period of 2023 and totalled over AMD 3.3 trillion, the National Statistical Committee reports.
In July 2024 alone, the figure was 515.1 million drams, up 16.2 per cent compared to July 2023 and 4.3 per cent compared to June 2024.
Of the total turnover, wholesale trade grew by 30% to around AMD 2.2 trillion, while retail trade grew by 10% to over 1 trillion drams.
Of the retail trade, shops accounted for 837.8 billion drams (up 12.8%), consumer goods markets accounted for 37 billion drams (up 3.2%), agricultural markets accounted for 8.4 billion drams (down 4.4%), kiosks accounted for 12.6 billion drams (down 0.2%), and other retail outlets accounted for 107 billion drams (down 3.9%).
