Armenia's power producing facilities generated over 3 billion kWh of electricity in January-April 2023, which is 3.3% less than in the same period of 2022, the National Statistical Committee (NSC) reported.

YEREVAN, June 6. /ARKA/. Armenia's power producing facilities generated over 3 billion kWh of electricity in January-April 2023, which is 3.3% less than in the same period of 2022, the National Statistical Committee (NSC) reported.
It said thermal power plants accounted for 46.7% of the total power generation, producing over 1.239 million kWh electricity, a decrease of 15.4% yoy.
The nuclear power plant (31.5%) produced over 1.2 billion kilowatt-hours (an increase of 16%), and hydroelectric plants (17.6%) produced 449.7 million kilowatt-hours (a decrease of 18.2%).
Solar power plants (4.2%) produced 104.3 million kWh of electricity (92.1% growth), and wind farms produced 1.1 million kWh (0.9% growth). -0-
