Armenia’s public debt reached $5 969.3 million by late January 2017 after growing 0.46% over the month, the National Statistical Service reports.

YEREVAN, March 1. /ARKA/. Armenia’s public debt reached $5 969.3 million by late January 2017 after growing 0.46% over the month, the National Statistical Service reports.
According to the statistical report, the country’s foreign debt grew by $30.9 million to $4 836.5 million.
About $$4 325.2 million is the government’s debt (up $24.3 million) and another $511.2 million is the central bank’s debt (up by $6.5 million).
Armenia’s internal debt amounted to $1 132.8 million in late January 2017 after shrinking by $3.6 million over one month – about $1 030.2 million here is government bonds bought by residents, $95.6 million is bonds in foreign currencies and $7 million is domestic guarantees. --0---
