Armenia's Vanadzor-Alaverdi motor road will be repaired and modernized this year up to its border with Georgia, Gagik Beglaryan, Armenian transport and communication minister, said Thursday at a regular Cabinet meeting.

YEREVAN, April 22. /ARKA/. Armenia's Vanadzor-Alaverdi motor road will be repaired and modernized this year up to its border with Georgia, Gagik Beglaryan, Armenian transport and communication minister, said Thursday at a regular Cabinet meeting.
In his words, the financial resources attracted from the European Investment Bank and Asian Development Bank are being spent for this road. The minister, however, refrained from revealing the borrowed amounts and other details.
«The road is planned to be widened as part of this program and some changes will be made to some of its sections,» Beglaryan said.
Traffic on Vanadzor-Alaverdi road has repeatedly been ceased because of stone falls. ---0---
