Armenia to appoint trade attaché in China

The Armenian government decided today to establish a new position of trade attaché in China.

YEREVAN, February 2. /ARKA/. The Armenian government decided today to establish a new position of trade attaché in China. Economic development and investment minister Suren Karayan said the decision was prompted by growing business relations with China and the need to expand trade and economic relations between the two countries.
He said China and Armenia have great untapped potential and also an agreement that allows both sides to expand economic contacts. In his words, deployment of trade attaché in China is important in terms of effective presentation of Armenia’s trade and economic interests in China.
Currently, Armenia has trade representatives in Russia, the EU and the WTO. Armenia’s trade attaché will be deployed in Beijing in the building of the Armenian embassy in China. The 2017 state budget earmarks 41.8 million drams for the maintenance of Armenia’s trade attaché in China.
The decision to expand Armenian-Chinese trade and economic relations was made during Armenian president Serzh Sargsyan’s visit to China on 24-28 March 2015. The two sides had also agreed to establish mutually beneficial conditions for the import of goods, services, technology and capital. ($ 1 - 485.97 drams). -- 0--
