YEREVAN, September 14. /ARKA/. The Armenian government will set up a food safety inspectorate, Agriculture Minister Arthur Khachatryan said at a Cabinet session on Friday.
The government approved today making a set of amendments to the law "On the bodies of the state management system", which presume the creation of this body.
"We planned to set up this body until September 30, 2018, but because of the forthcoming large amount of work and the need of making legislative changes, its establishment is extended until March 30, 2019," Khachatryan said.
He noted, in particular, that intensive work is underway to change the legislation for the separation of powers in the implementation of food safety related activity. --0-
