Armenia Wine – development of wine industry in cooperation with media

At a business supper titled “The Role of the Media in Development of Armenian Wine-making Culture”, Vahagn Mkrtchyan, co-founder of the company, Grikor Aleksanyan, a wine-maker, and Zaruhi Muradyan, executive director of the Vine and Wine Foundation of Armenia, stressed the importance of the media in development of wine culture in Armenia as well as in restoration and dissemination of wine consumption traditions.
YEREVAN, June 24. /ARKA/. Armenia Wine Company hosted Saturday representatives of Armenia’s media.
At a business supper titled “The Role of the Media in Development of Armenian Wine-making Culture”, Vahagn Mkrtchyan, co-founder of the company, Grikor Aleksanyan, a wine-maker, and Zaruhi Muradyan, executive director of the Vine and Wine Foundation of Armenia, stressed the importance of the media in development of wine culture in Armenia as well as in restoration and dissemination of wine consumption traditions.
Mkrtchyan presented the investment programs implemented in the past years to develop vine-growing and wine-making industries. He also presented prospects for further development and room for further cooperation with the media.
Throughout the last decade, the company has been developing not only wine industry, but has also been making large investments in development of organic gardens and enhancement of the quality.
Muradyan, on her side, stressed the importance of the role of media sources in strengthening competitiveness of Armenian wine at local and international markets and disseminating the thousand-year history of Armenia’s vine-growing and traditions.
Media representatives tasted the company’s port wine, which is likely to be presented at local and international markets this autumn, but before that, it will be available for tasting only at the winery.
Armenia Wine will very soon present in Armenia and other countries its new variety of brandy, based on combination of rich national traditions of brandy industry, advanced world technologies and sophisticate modern solutions, and this will improve Armenia’s reputation as a flagship brandy maker country. -0---
