YEREVAN, June 18 — /ARKA/. At a meeting on Wednesday, Armenia's Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) fined Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) 10 million drams for technical and commercial violations.

From February 3 to 14, PSRC specialists conducted short-term monitoring at three ENA branches, studying the volume and quality of electricity supplied to consumers.

"As a result of the monitoring, a number of omissions were recorded related to the technical condition of the meters, the accuracy of accounting, and violations of consumer rights," the regulator said in a statement.

ENA presented explanations for the violations but did not refute them.

According to the PSRC's decision, ENA must transfer the amount of the fine to the state budget within one month. The commission also required the company to eliminate all such violations throughout its service territory by December 31, 2025 and to pay fines for violations of consumer rights in appropriate cases.

Armenian Electric Networks CJSC is part of the Tashir Group of Companies and is owned by the Russia-based entrepreneur Samvel Karapetyan. The company manages medium and low voltage distribution networks in Armenia and serves 1 million subscribers in the country.-0-
