The Armenian Parliament has approved today in the second and final reading a set of amendments to the law on control over the export of dual-use goods, their transit through the territory of Armenia, transfer of dual-use information and results of intellectual activity.

YEREVAN, January 22. /ARКА/. The Armenian Parliament has approved today in the second and final reading a set of amendments to the law on control over the export of dual-use goods, their transit through the territory of Armenia, transfer of dual-use information and results of intellectual activity.

The amendments give the government the right to establish the procedure for the examination of controlled goods and intangible assets.

The government will also be able to establish a list of goods, during the transit and export of which dual-use goods may be obtained as a result of processing. -0-

Armenia bans import of cattle meat and skins from Germany due to foot-and-mouth disease threat

The Armenian government has temporarily banned the import of foot-and-mouth disease-susceptible cattle (small cattle, cattle, pigs), as well as frozen and chilled meat and meat by-products, unprocessed hides of cattle (including buffalo) from Germany.
