Armenia's airports Zvartnots in the capital city Yerevan and Shirak in the second-largest city of Gyumri handled 298,300 passengers in 2019 October, by 12.6% more than in October of 2018.

YEREVAN, November 8. /ARKA/. Armenia's airports Zvartnots in the capital city Yerevan and Shirak in the second-largest city of Gyumri handled 298,300 passengers in 2019 October, by 12.6% more than in October of 2018.

Armenia-International Airports CJSC said passenger traffic through the Zvartnots airport increased by 14.6% during the reporting period to 286,227 people against 249,857 in 2018 October.

The Shirak airport in Gyumri handled 12,073 passengers, by 19.9%. less than in 2018 October. Since the beginning of the year, passenger traffic through the two airports grew by 11.5% to 2,695,266 people in late October 2019. In the first ten months of 2019 the number of arrivals and departures increased by 14.3% year-on-year at both airports.

Zvartnots and Shirak airports are run by American International Airports in accordance with a concessional agreement signed for 30 years. American International Airports is owned by an Argentinean Armenian businessman Eduardo Eurnekian.-0-
