Armenian civil aviation committee terminates operation of Taron Avia airline

Armenia's Civil Aviation Committee said it has terminated the operation of Taron Avia airline.
YEREVAN, November 6. /ARKA/. Armenia's Civil Aviation Committee said it has terminated the operation of Taron Avia airline.
It said the termination follows a series of inspections conducted at the airline, which found a string of omissions. As a result the certificate of the airline to operate aircraft was suspended. It was given a 6-month period to eliminate the omissions, however, the company decided to cease operations, the Civil Aviation Committee said in a statement today.
The regulator said based on that, it decided to terminate the certificate N049 of the airline for the operation of aircraft.
Taron-Avia was one of two Armenian air carriers along with Armenia airline, operating flights from the Shirak airport in Gyumri to Russian Moscow, Rostov-on-Don, Samara and Krasnodar, as well as from Yerevan to Moscow. –0--
