Armenian exporters most often insure export of alcoholic drinks

Armenian exporters most often insure the export of alcoholic beverages, while Western companies are among the most persistence defaulters for deliveries, the executive director of the Export Insurance Agency Vazgen Abgaryan told journalists on Tuesday.
YEREVAN, April 11. /ARKA/. Armenian exporters most often insure the export of alcoholic beverages, while Western companies are among the most persistence defaulters for deliveries, the executive director of the Export Insurance Agency Vazgen Abgaryan told journalists on Tuesday.
According to him, statistics show that the most persistent non-payers for Armenian exports are the companies in the US, Germany, France, Italy and Russia.
He said in 2016 exporters of alcoholic beverages accounted for 65% of all export insurance contracts, followed by exporters of processed food products (17%), industrial products (7%) and textiles (6%).
The Export Insurance Agency of Armenia was established in 2013 by the government as an effective instrument for stimulation of exports. The agency is a Central Bank-licensed insurance company with a capital of more than 2 billion drams. It began providing insurance services in March 2015. ($ 1 - 485.61 drams). -0-
